Janet's Flapjack
At our last committee meeting Janet provided this flapjack as a snack. (All committee meetings have snacks, join us and you will see!) Everyone agreed that it was delicious, and very easy to make, so we persuaded her to share the recipe!
Ingredients
12oz margarine
12oz demerara sugar
1lb porridge oats
Melted chocolate to cover
Method
Beat the margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy. Stir in the oats.
Grease 2 foil traybake tins well. (Do not line it unless you like eating paper!)
Spread the mixture into the tins and level it.
Bake at 210 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes. Watch it carefully to see it doesn't burn.
Take it out of the oven and immediately cut it into squares.
When it is cold take it out of the tray and cover with melted chocolate.
When that is set break the flapjack into squares.
